Little's journey with MJ started at Sonoma Raceway in 2021. Overhearing Jordan praise her NASCAR knowledge, she seized the moment, introducing herself and shaking hands with the legend. From there, a unique connection was born.
"It's been an incredible journey," Little reflects. "MJ's love for NASCAR runs deep, and I'm honored to be a part of it."
But here's where it gets controversial... Despite his role as an NBA analyst for NBC, Jordan has chosen Little as his primary motorsports interviewer. In fact, she's conducted more interviews with him about racing than Mike Tirico has about basketball!
Fast forward to 2026, and Little has become MJ's trusted confidant, conducting over half a dozen TV interviews. The 63-year-old legend specifically requests Little for his interviews, and with his driver, Tyler Reddick, dominating the new NASCAR season, MJ's happiness is palpable.
In a recent exclusive with Front Office Sports, Little shared her insights on interviewing Jordan and his growing impact on motorsports.
A Connection to His Roots
When asked about Jordan's childhood in Wilmington, N.C., Little revealed, "He's genuinely happy. Growing up in North Carolina, his parents introduced him to NASCAR, taking him to races as a kid. It's a part of his identity. Now, as a team owner and a winner, it's an incredible story."
Competitive Fire or Pure Passion?
Little believes it's a bit of both. "Each time I talk to him, he reminisces about his playing days. The happiness, the wins, the competition. NASCAR brings out those feelings. I steer clear of basketball when his team is winning. This is his NASCAR moment."
A Connection to His Late Father?
Little shared, "I know his father was a big part of his life, and NASCAR was a family affair. He watches every race, from the Truck Series to the big leagues on Sunday. It's a genuine love and passion. When he's competing and winning, I think it brings him back to those Bulls days."
The Access Factor
Little admits, "I've heard about his reclusiveness, but he's given me access. He takes a reporter he trusts and gives them his time. I'm humbled to be that person."
The Beginning of a Streak
Little recalls, "Two years ago, I knew MJ was at Talladega, and I went for it. I asked for an interview, and he gave me a big hug. We got the first interview, and it was a big deal. Last year, we had a great pre-race chat, and he agreed to an on-camera interview. This year at Daytona 500, my producer requested I interview MJ, and the rest is history."

"His impact is immense," Little says. "He's reaching beyond motorsports, into mainstream media. People who love Jordan - his shoes, his playing, his persona - are following his NASCAR journey. It's great for our sport."
